The old fiddle tune Happy Jack I learned the tune from Pete McMahan. To my thinking it is one of the best square dance tunes ever. This is a real Mid-Missouri tune, Pete having learned it from Clark Atterbury from Montgomery County.

Do you know Pete’s tune, Grandma or Grandmother’s Waltz? I suggested the name for it at a fiddle contest near St Joe about 36 years ago.
